Volleyball is a sport that is usually played even with minimal equipment. All you need is a wide enough backyard and a ball. The net is optional, but if you want a more complete experience, getting one is a good investment.

Since volleyball is not exactly a sport that attracts much fanfare, it is relegated to being a recreational activity. Don’t get me wrong—it’s still the #6 most popular sport in the world. It just does not have a consistent following, unlike other sports.

This is the main reason why there are very few volleyball-exclusive sporting goods out there.

Even so, we still found a way to get you a list of the best online volleyball stores.

1. RealVolleyball.com

RealVolleyball is one of the few online sports stores that caters mainly to volleyball players. It has one of the largest selections of volleyball items and accessories online.

They’ve been in the business since 1981 in Los Angeles, registered by the name of Fairway Volleyball. They’ve since changed the name to RealVolleyball.

One of the best things about this company is you can customize a team uniform for your club. It’s one of the many reasons why it’s the go-to choice for many volleyball players.

2. Canuck Stuff Volleyball

Canuch Stuff Volleyball is another specialty volleyball store based in Toronto. It’s been operational for 30 years now, which is impressive considering that it sells only volleyball items.

It started as a small volleyball store inside a basement. It has grown to a company that operates a 5,000-square-feet store in Vancouver, and a 12,000-square-feet store in Toronto.

Granted, it’s not a well-known volleyball store. But based on its history and the number of satisfied customers, it’s indeed a reputable volleyball store.

3. Midwest Volleyball Warehouse

Another volleyball-exclusive store is Midwest Volleyball Warehouse. This company partnered with many known volleyball brands to give you the best selection of items depending on your needs.

Walmart is one of the most recognizable supermarkets in the world, and rightfully so. It has one of the largest selections of items in its inventory. Normally, you’d go to Walmart for grocery shopping, but its sporting goods section is also good.

Walmart Supercenter has one of the largest selections of volleyball items online. If you are having trouble finding one volleyball item in your favorite sporting goods store, you can check Walmart for that particular item.

5. Sprocket’s – Silicon Volley

Sprocket’s Silicon Volley is one of those shops that has the potential to become a staple in the sport.

It helps that they have the best name out of all the stores listed here.

Silicon Volley was founded in the summer of 1994 in downtown Los Gatos as a volleyball items store. It has since expanded its item selections. They branched out to lifestyle products like sandals, dresses, and other types of clothing brands.

6. Dick’s Sporting Goods

Dick’s Sporting Goods is the largest sporting goods retailer in the United States. The fact that it is currently listed on the Fortune 500 is quite a feat.

It was founded in 1948 by Richard ‘Dick’ Stack in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.

It started as a fishing tackle store in New York in 1948. It has since grown into the most popular sporting goods store through wise marketing and investment decisions.

You can never go wrong when shopping at Dick’s Sporting Goods. They can rival any sporting outlets when it comes to the number of their selection.

Their products come from different brands all over the world. This should give you access to even the most obscure volleyball brands in the world.

Their tagline is ‘Big Names… Low Prices,’ which rings true to this day. They’ve maintained a family-owned atmosphere in their stores, which makes shopping such a breeze.

8. Academy Sports + Outdoors

Similar to Adidas, Nike is also not known to be a big retailer of volleyball items. But, it boasts some of the best sports accessories that are also used in volleyball.

12. Play It Again Sports

Play It Again Sports is my favorite store out of the stores listed here. I’m a bit biased when it comes to this store because I believe it has the best vision and mission out of all.

‘Reuse. Recycle. Replay.’

This is their tagline, and if you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s a secondhand sporting goods store.

What’s great about it is apart from the obvious cheap pricing, you are also helping the environment by recycling. You can also sell your volleyball gears in here instead of throwing them into the trash the moment they don’t fit you anymore.

13. Amazon Store

A screenshot of volleyball product search results from the Amazon online store homepage.

Amazon Store is the most popular online marketplace in the USA. It is probably the first website you would visit if you wanted something online. You would have no problem finding a product you want in here given their vast directories of items.

Due to the sheer dominance of Amazon, even the biggest sporting goods stores have their accounts here.

But apart from impulse buys, Amazon is also a good volleyball gear resource. It offers one of the largest selections of volleyball items online. One caveat is the items listed are from different companies, which makes it harder to gauge their qualities.

Amazon offers a different experience than browsing from a store that only offers one brand or supplier. Depending on your preference, you may find this a better shopping experience overall.
